haus guide

  • Dimmers must be pushed first to turn the light on. It takes a second or so for them to come on.

  • Smaller, steeper, and harder.

Known by travelers and ex-pats as “Dutch stairs,” these staircases are smaller and harder to traverse than your standard staircase. These have not been altered since their original construction to preserve the history of the home. In doing so, we ask that guests exercise extreme caution when using these historic stairs.

  • Stone Haus: a queen-size sleeper sofa is located in the downstairs den. Sheets, pillows, and blankets can be found in a storage compartment in the chaise.

Cottage: sofa in the living space folds out to a twin-size mattress. Extra pillows and linens can be found in the media console.

  • TV - A variety of smart TVs are found throughout the home, many with the same apps. Please log in using your credentials to enjoy streaming services. Be sure to log out before leaving.

ALEXA - Echo devices with Alexa are available throughout the home in common areas. She can deliver news, weather, play music, etc.

  • Cable is provided complimentary during your stay. Navigate to the home screen on your TV and select the Spectrum app.

  • Pack n Play - located in the Stone Haus primary bedroom closet

Drink Coolers - located under the pavilion

Air Mattress - located in the Stone Haus primary bedroom closet

Board Games - located in the media console of the Stone Haus den

  • EV chargers are available and complimentary to guests on the east and west sides of the Stone Haus.

  • Manual hand-turn chime is located on the front door of the Stone Haus. This is the original doorbell that was common in the late 1800s. Give it a try!

  • This property is located in the Hill Country, which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, Coyotes, Etc.)

Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution. You may also encounter various bugs, spiders, scorpions, and mice that sometimes make their way inside. While pest control services are utilized regularly, this does not guarantee the eradication of these critters.
